Orton Gillingham based Dyslexia and Language Instruction for students 6-12 yrs

Live Oak Literacy provides individual and small group language instruction for students 5-12 yrs., who have demonstrated learning differences. This specialized instruction is Orton Gillingham based and Montessori friendly, utilizing the SEE (Sequential English Instruction) program developed at The Shelton School, in Dallas, TX. Students who have been identified to possess a specific learning disability in reading, writing, auditory processing, visual processing, ADHD, have a family history of Dyslexia or have been identified at-risk for a specific language disability would be ideal for our language therapy services. The Live Oak Literacy instructor has earned a B.S in Elementary Ed., a M.Ed in Early Childhood Ed., and is currently completing the CALP (Certified Academic Language Practitioner) training. Language Therapy is individualized to meet the needs of each student and is 2-4 times a week for 9-12 months. Within this program students learn the English system of language in a highly rigorous, effective, research based, multi-sensory method.
